メイン暖房は石油ストーブ
ここのところ私の住む愛知県も寒い日が多いです。主に暖房は石油ストーブを使っています。
石油ストーブを使えば室温は18度くらいまで上がりますが、それでもフリースなどを着ないと寒くていられません。春、秋の気温18度は快適ですが、真冬の室温18℃はなんだかとても寒いです。
なぜ同じ18℃でもこれだけ違うのかと考えると、たぶん鉄筋コンクリートの建物が冬場は冷え切っているからだと思うのです。
物理かなんかの話ですが熱の伝わり方は伝導、対流、輻射の三種類あります。冬場は外気温が低いため伝導の作用で室内の壁も外壁同様に冷え切っています。特に私の住んでいる賃貸マンションはほとんど外壁と内壁の間に断熱材が入っていないようで室内の壁は触ると冷え冷えしていることが分かります。
これが春や秋だと壁がそこまで冷えておらず、壁からも輻射で熱が放出されているので寒さを感じません。
ということで寒さ対策はどうすればいいのかというと何もありません。窓など厚手のカーテンをするなどといった対策は既にしています。可能であれば壁を発泡スチロールのような断熱性のあるモノですべて覆い、床もすべて厚手のカーペットを敷けばいいでしょうが、そんなことするくらいなら断熱材のしっかり入った部屋へ引越しするしかないと思われます。
引越しも現実的ではないので、とりあえず服をいっぱい着込んでやり過ごすしかなさそうです。

Such a cold apartment room built 30 years ago
It has been very cold in Aichi prefecture lately. I mainly use a kerosin heater for heating. Although the room temperature reaches to 18℃ thanks to the heater, I still need to wear many pieces of clothes including a fleece jacket.
In spring or autumn, 18℃ is quite comfortable, but it is very cold in winter. Why do we feel in this way?
In physics, there are three ways of transmitting heat. They are conduction, convection and radiation. I guess reinforced concrete buildings are chilled to 0℃ in winter due to the effect of conduction. Low outdoor temperature makes inside walls cold as well as outdoor walls. To make matters worse, my apartment room doesn't have any insulation. So I can feel cold if I touch the inside wall. On the other hand, If the season is spring or autumn, the wall emits heat on a ceratain extent. It is the effect of radiation.
How can I shut out the cold? I don't have any good idea sadly. I' ve already covered all windows by thick curtains. If possible, it is the good way to cover all walls and floors by styren foam and thick rugs. However, I might as well move to another room as do such a thing.
As a conclusion, moving is not realistic. So I don't have a choice but to wear many clothes to avoid cold.
